Modern utility meters are designed to be sturdy, reliable and accurate. Installation is relatively straightforward, but needs to be undertaken conscientiously by qualified installers to avoid errors and potential contamination.
The key to Turriff's success as a meter installer is its site and back office systems which track and record its meter installations, providing timely and accurate data for gas shippers and meter asset managers (MAMs).
Turriff has been an Ofgem Approved Meter Installer (OAMI) since 2003. OAMI's have to be CORGI registered gas fitters with a specific Meter Installation Qualification. Turriff is one of only six Scottish companies to have achieved OAMI accreditation and currently has thirty team members who have received the specialised training and assessment to obtain the relevant ACS (Accredited Certification Scheme) certificates of competence.
